About Petch


Phatcharaporn Chirachitra (Petch) is a cross-trained singer, actor, and voice teacher from Bangkok, Thailand. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Musical Theater Vocal Pedagogy from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Boston, USA—becoming the first Thai national to earn an M.F.A. in Musical Theater Vocal Pedagogy—and earned her undergraduate degree with First Class Honors in Classical Vocal Performance from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand.
She has taught voice at several prestigious international schools in Bangkok, including Shrewsbury International School, King’s College International School, and the International School of Bangkok (ISB). She is currently teaching voice around the Greater Boston area at Dexter Southfield School, Amy Dancz Studio, NEMPAC, and through her private studio.
Petch specializes in evidence-based, student-centered voice teaching and has extensive experience teaching a wide range of styles, including classical, musical theater, pop, rock, jazz, and R&B. She also has a strong background in preparing students for ABRSM and Trinity exams, as well as coaching for vocal competitions and auditions.
Her research in vocal pedagogy focuses on improving voice studio teaching effectiveness. Her work emphasizes optimizing studio time, motorlearning, and fostering empowered, confident singers through efficient, evidence-based instruction.
In addition to her teaching and research, Petch runs a Thai-language educational platform called “Vocal Pedagogy for Thai,” a Facebook and Instagram page dedicated to sharing accessible vocal pedagogy knowledge with Thai singers and teachers.
Beyond teaching, she has performed in and directed vocals for many professional musical theater productions. Petch brings a global perspective to her work and is passionate about helping singers from all backgrounds discover their authentic voices across different genres.
